This part includes one carbon brush with a wire lead and brush spring attached. A strong indication that the carbon brush might need to be replaced is if your equipment will not turn on or there are excessive sparks present. This is a common wear part that will require replacement from time to time. It is also a good idea to inspect the armature at the same time, especially in the case of excessive sparks.

This is a single carbon brush with a spring. Carbon brushes are what supply electricity to the armature. They are known to wear due to constant rubbing against the commutator, so it should not be a concern if they are in need of a replacement. They should be inspected regularly, especially if your power tool is not functioning properly. A worn brush can cause excessive sparks, however a damaged armature can also cause sparks, so you will need to inspect both parts. This is a simple repair that should only take a few minutes. You will need to remove the brush caps, and then align the new carbon brush in the holder with the tabs. You will need a screwdriver to secure the cap.

This is an OEM handwheel for a table saw, which allows the user to adjust the blade height. This handwheel is made from black plastic (bevel handle is sold as a separate part) and attaches to a metal cross pin on the spindle. The plastic will wear over time, causing it to slip and not adjust the blade. This is a simple repair that should only take a few minutes. Start by removing the nut, pull the handle away from the saw (being careful not to misplace the washer), and secure the new assembly by aligning the notches with the roll pin, and secure the new handwheel with the nut.

Thomas from GROESBECK, TX
Tires were 14 years old and were getting rough
Step 1: Unplug band saw
Step 2: Remove Blade
Step 3: Use awl to pry up one edge of old tire, hold it up with your thumb and push the awl the rest of the way through, and pry the old tire off. (be careful not to mare the aluminum wheel with the awl.)
Step 4: Clamp the tire in one spot to the wheel, insert the tire until it will not go on anymore, clamp it at the point, work the tire on with both hands from that point until it is on the wheel, remove clamps, and seat the tire on the wheel. (use clamps that have padded covers where they touch the wheel, again making sure not the mare the wheel.
Step 5: Repeat Steps 3 and 4 for the other wheel.
