The foam rubber seal on the old ice door was deteriorating, leaving disgusting specks of black foam in our drinks.
I found that it was not necessary to remove the fascia of the ice/water dispenser or do any other disassembly. First, carefully remove the clear plastic ice chute that sits just above the paddle where you place your glass. You have to pinch it together to get the sides unhooked, then swing it down. It is still attached to the paddle wi th a plastic hook in the rear. You will have to keep pushing it down, rotating it until it clears the outer frame of the panel. It does take a bit of force, so go slowly. Once it is off, it is very simple to pry the retaining clips a bit with a screwdriver and drop the ice door off its actuator. Be careful, the screwdriver can easily slip and gouge you or crack the actuator. Once you wiggle the old door off, the new one goes on almost instantly. Then re-install the ice chute in reverse of how you removed it. Done!

Ice build up on ice dispenser chute since chute door did not close properly letting warm air into the freezer
First off I found a video on u-tube showing easy way to access the chute so I could correctly diagnose the problem. I removed the dispenser cover, disconnected the control panel after removing retaining screws and confirmed door was broken. I ordered the door and repeated the process removing the damaged door and replacing with new door, reconnected control panel and dispenser door. No more ice build up now.

Due to my ice door not closing up and causing freeze up my motor gave up
I followed some of the suggestions that I read on the site. tried opening up the advertised video, but don't think there was one. Biggest thing was to take the front panel off from the bottom.Due to my bad knees, I made the decision to remove the door and lay it on the floor. (be careful of the water line as I didn't remove that part of i t) it made the whole job a lot easier. Also took pictures of all of the electrical and such.
