This carbon brush lead or also known as a carbon motor brush fits the following tools: angle grinders, nibbler and shears, sander polishers, and jig saws. This includes the brush and a wire lead attached. This is one of the most commonly replaced power tool components because the carbon brushes easily wear off with friction and use. If your brush is worn out it can cause intermittent motor function, reduction in electric braking, and in motor power. If you notice burns and cracks on the wire lead, then it is best to replace this part. Tip: when replacing your carbon brush, make sure to inspect your armature for damage as well, in case there are larger motor problems.

Anti-Splintering Device

The anti-splintering device is attached to your jigsaw base near the blade. It is purposely made out of a clear plastic, to enable you to see through it to correctly follow your cut line. The purpose of this part is to limit splintering and chip-out on cuts. It also stops thin pieces of wood from jamming between the blade and the plate while cutting. This is a very easy and quick repair that does not require any tools. Remove the old one by hand and align the new one and snap it into place. This authentic part is sold independently.

When you replace your carbon brushes we recommend replacing your brush spring for an even wear, and to keep the spring in perfect working condition. This part is made from metal and is sold individually.
