No fuel flow.

Lifted generator at an angle and supported so gas in tank was away from outlet end. Removed the shutoff valve with an adjustable wrench. Install new valve. Lowered generator, checked for leaks. Reinstalled fuel line to carb. and started engine. SIMPLE! Read more...

This is an authentic OEM part that has been sourced directly from Generac. This fuel shutoff valve is used in generators. It is installed in the fuel line to help extend the life of your engine. When your generator is in storage or not in use for long periods of time this part ensures no stale fuel is stilling in your carburetor or fuel lines. Fuel valve controls how much, if any, fuel is travelling through the fuel line to the carburetor and into the combustion chamber. It is as simple as closing the valve, and then burning the remainder of fuel in the carburetor. Not only does this help save your carburetor from the negative effects of stale fuel, but it also can also help prevent fuel leaks. Before installing this part make sure you drain the fuel from fuel tank and remove the spark plug.
