How to replace red button power switch
For model number DC14
Fix.com logo
Hello William, thank you for the question. Firstly, remove the canister from the vacuum. The two T15 Torx screws holding the switch cover to the vacuum are then removed after detaching the telescoping vacuum wand. The two plastic clips holding the switch cover to the vacuum need to be pushed outward in the second stage. In the third step, take off the vacuum's switch cover. Next, firmly extract the two wires from the power switch while holding them by their white plastic covers. When reassembly occurs, the terminals will only fit one way. Only one wire is long enough to extend to the switch's remote terminal. We hope that helps!
